Costumed by Mark Bridges.
A favorite film of mine. Great costumes with loads of terrific 70's/80's details. There are some terrific moments highlighting the costumes, a great scene with Eddie Adams (Dirk Diggler) in his 70's teenage fantasy bedroom wearing great vintage briefs. Another scene with Dirk Diggler, Reed Rothchild, and Scotty J all buying the same outfit, Dirk looks fantastic, Reed looks mildly silly, and Scotty looks ridiculous and openly miserable. Julianne Moore is outfitted in a seemingly endless array of slinky 70's ensembles. I love the costumer's vision of her, despite the tawdry circumstances of her life she never has a hair out of place and is always beautifully put together. Even when she goes to court to fight for custody of her son and all the seedy details of her life are being dragged out she's perfectly accessorized in a tan suit with a purple blouse and her hair neatly put up. Also great fun are Buck's cowboy outfits and his attempted transition to a funked-up, Rick James look.
